The incident took place earlier this month and after the matter came to light, on Tuesday, the police registered an FIR. The police said that on Wednesday, the victim's husband and other accused were arrested and this video was allegedly made and shared by the accused.

According to the police, the incident took place in the tribal-dominated Dhanpur taluka Khajuri village on July 16, 2021, in the viral video, the victim's husband and others are seen dragging her, beating her and roaming naked.
